Domain Deletion and Auto-Renewal Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains how renewals work for domain names ordered through Billiongates Domains, which is operated by Kesnita UAB as a reseller of our registrar, Openprovider (Hosting Concepts B.V.). It follows the ICANN Expired Registration Recovery Policy (ERRP). Country-code extensions may follow different registry rules; where they do, the registry's rules apply.

Auto-renewal

Auto-renewal is off for every domain registered through us. Domains are not renewed automatically: you renew a domain manually before its expiry date, or ask our support team at support@billiongates.com to renew it for you, at the renewal price shown at that time.

Keeping track of expiry

The expiry date of each domain is shown in your order confirmation. Please keep your contact details up to date and renew before the expiry date.

What happens when a domain expires

If a domain is not renewed by its expiry date, the registry or registrar may stop its DNS resolution. Your website and email at that domain stop working, and the domain may show a parking or renewal notice page. Services resume once the domain is renewed.

For most generic extensions there is a renewal grace period after expiry during which the domain can still be renewed at the normal renewal price. The length of this period depends on the registry.

Redemption Grace Period

If the domain is not renewed during the grace period, the registrar may delete it. For generic extensions it then enters a Redemption Grace Period, usually 30 days, during which only the previous registrant can restore it. After the Redemption Grace Period, and a short pending-delete period, the domain is released and anyone can register it.

Restoring a domain

To restore a domain that is in the Redemption Grace Period, contact us at support@billiongates.com. Restoration is subject to a restore fee charged by the registry and registrar, in addition to the renewal price. The fee depends on the extension; it is shown at checkout or provided on request before you pay.

Deleting a domain

If you no longer need a domain, you can ask us to delete it by emailing support@billiongates.com from the email address on your account. Deletion is generally not reversible, and fees already paid to the registry are not refundable (see our Refund Policy).
